When I was 17 I lived in Japan for a year as a Rotary exchange student. It was one of the best experiences of my life so far and changed my career direction.
Whilst I no longer can speak Japanese I do love hearing it spoken. So, to entertain myself during isolation I’ve been watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and I’m loving it.
(So far, it has been a bit like me watching Masterchef and The Biggest Loser – all entertainment, no action haha)
The key element of the KonMari organisational method is to ask oneself “does this item spark joy?” and “do I want to take this item with me into my future?”
I love this! Partly because it aligns to how I think about managing our money.
If the COVID-19 pandemic has led you to contemplate life, then I encourage you to consider how you may reorganise the way you manage your money to ensure you can afford to live the life you’d love.
What do you need to do or own so that you are joyfully being the best version of you, making the contribution you were born to make?
Prioritise saving for those experiences and items so they can be part of your joyful future.
